Curriculum

Learning that feels like play.

Weekly lesson plans follow Maryland Healthy Beginnings (birth to 36 months) and the Maryland Early Learning Standards (ages 3 to 5).

Learning areas

Language

Circle time, stories, and conversation in English and Spanish.

Social-emotional

Naming feelings, calm tools, and solving conflicts with words — not punishment.

Physical

Outdoor play twice a day: running, climbing, balls, ride-on toys, teacher-led games.

Creative arts

Art, music, cooking, dramatic play, and sensory work in small groups.

Literacy & blocks

Books, puzzles, block play, and fine-motor trays that show up in the centers.

Observation

A CDC milestone checklist in the first 60 days, then every three months. Conferences in fall and spring.

How we watch growth

  1. First 60 days

An initial developmental checklist based on CDC milestones.

  2. Every three months

Ongoing notes, work samples, and anecdotal records in each child’s folder.

  3. Fall conference

We sit with you to share progress, celebrate, and set goals together.

  4. Spring conference

A second sit-down. You pick a time by text; we accommodate drop-off if we can.
