Tiny Steps Child Care is a licensed family child care home at 12702 Bluhill Road in Silver Spring. We follow Maryland’s highest standards of safety, education, and cleanliness — English and Spanish, every day, hand in hand with families.

Bilingual days

English and Spanish in songs, stories, play, and conversation — not worksheets.

Whole-child learning

Maryland Healthy Beginnings and Early Learning Standards guide weekly lesson plans.

Meals and snacks

Breakfast, lunch, and two snacks each day. Fresh fruit, vegetables, protein, and whole grains.

CPR, First Aid, AED

Provider and co-provider are certified. We run monthly fire drills and keep an emergency plan posted.

Outdoors twice a day

Morning and afternoon outdoor play, weather permitting. Closed-toe shoes, always.

Schedules

A day that fits your house.

Every option includes meals and the same group. What changes is the days and the hour you pick up.

Monday to Thursday · 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Full day

Arrival through pickup: breakfast, learning, lunch, rest, snacks, and outdoor play.

7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Friday

The same rhythm, with pickup by 5:00 PM.

6 weeks to 18 months

Infants

Individual nap schedules, safe sleep on the back, bottles and formula from home.

We follow MCPS weather

Snow days

If Montgomery County schools delay, we open by 8:00 AM. Severe weather may close us for the day.

Ages

Who we welcome.

6 weeks to 18 months

Infants

Safe sleep, bottles from home, and a calm lap. Infants are checked at least every 15 minutes at rest.

18 months to 3 years

Toddlers

Language, sensory play, toileting support, and the first rituals of the day.

3 to 5 years

Preschool

Circle time, Maryland Early Learning Standards, outdoor games, and long stretches of play.
